Finding A Voice: the EFLGC Autumn 2016 conference

Keynote speaker Rachel Mann

LGBT people in the UK and across Europe have started to become more included and accepted. However, the church has mixed responses with many LGBT people feeling ostracised marginalised, and at times invisible, perticularly within evangelical churches. Some churches are beginning to embrace an inclusive approach, but often the voice of LGBT people can be lost particularly as it is not always clear what reception they may face or how to discuss their Christian faith.

This conference is the first in a series exploring how to help LGBT people and their families and friends explore ways to find a voice within the Christian church. The conference is being lead by Rachel Mann whose own journey has given her a unique voice as a priest, poet, journalist and transgendered person.
