Inclusion is more than welcoming.
Inclusion is not simply standing at the door, showing the way in for those who have been previously excluded.
Inclusion is moving out of the doorway altogether, – acknowledging that those who were previously excluded or unwelcome, should have been celebrated and involved all along, in all areas and levels of any structure, organisation or community.
To be actively inclusive is to acknowledge that there is more to learn, and that the voices of the most vulnerable or least privileged are to be prioritised.
In this session, we will explore conversations, stories and perspectives on how to be LGBTQ+ inclusive within faith communities, with a particular focus upon the wisdom and experiences of young people.
